Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s first national park (est. 1973) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering 953 square km of sub-tropical inner Terai plains. Located in southern Nepal, it is renowned for protecting endangered species like the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, and gharial crocodile within its dense Sal forests and grasslands.

Tour Details

Lying between the majestic Himalayan range and the sultry Indian plains, Nepal is a land of lush green valleys, towering snow peaks, yaks and yetis, monasteries and prayer flags fluttering against the blue skies.

Here, time permitting, you can literally climb to one of the nine highest points on earth. Equally exciting, you can try your hand at spotting the single-horned Asiatic Rhinos in Chitwan National Park. Or you can take a step back in time and explore the many hidden squares and alleyways of Kathmandu, Patan or Bhaktapur, where temples or stupas adorn nearly every corner and the Gods of yore keep watchful eye over their earthly abodes.

Destinations Covered

Kathmandu

The valley is historically termed as “Nepal Proper” and has been the home of Newari culture, a cosmopolitan urban civilization in the Himalayan foothills.

Dhulikhel

The snow fed mountains seen from Dhulikhel are a fine panorama. Green inviting hills turned into beautifully carved agricultural terraces cater to the beholders’ pleasure.

Chitwan

Its dense forests and grassy plains are home to rare mammals like one-horned rhinos and Bengal tigers.

Pokhara

The rare combinations of snow clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers has helped to make the valley of Pokhara (210 km from Kathmandu) one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the country.
