Being a major harbor from the times of the British and Portuguese, Cochin has a rich heritage of forts, churches, and temples.

Today you will be visiting the Dutch Palace (Friday closed), the Jewish Synagogue - (which remains closed on Friday & Saturday) St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline, at the Harbour’s mouth, one can also view the unique and still-in-use "Chinese Fishing Nets" which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th Century. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and

Portuguese buildings. Some parts of this nearly 500-year-old Fort are still amazingly well preserved.

In the evening there is a visit to the cultural centre to see the traditional dance form of Kathakali.

The view of the valley from here is breathtaking and one gets to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Visit Tea Museum - Munnar, surprisingly unspoiled, the lush green hill ranges are covered with large plantations of tea, coffee and cardamom and have some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenic spots. The Tata Tea Museum has showcased some of the most interesting aspects of the genesis and growth of the tea plantations of Kerala's high ranges. The Museum is situated at the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea and has on display curios, photographs, and machineries, each depicting a milestone that contributed to the flourishing tea industry of the region.

Also visit The CSI Church of Christ is one of the popular sightseeing stops at Munnar. Built by the British in 1910, the church is a popular attraction for those interested in its unique architecture. The church has been built on a rocky outcrop and has some lovely stained glass and brass plaque.
